This is the place where we share some of the illustrations and cards. Each piece features a flavor text, so you can get a little glimpse into the lore of the game. All artworks and graphics for Journey to Ecrya are drawn by us (Kira and Jessica) only for our game. We do our best to bring the world in our heads to life on a (digital) canvas and improve our illustration skills on the way.
You can click on each image to get a bit more insight into the lore of Ecrya and leave your thoughts on each artwork as well!
Feel free to visit our Instagram page for more art and progress pictures and leave a comment if you want! We are happy to hear your thoughts or feedback!
“Fame and riches are but fleeting distractions, easily gained and lost. Obtaining knowledge and achiving wisdom is the true challenge.” “A bit of mountain climbing and some monsters? That’s supposed to scare me? Oh please. I’d do it all twice for the amount of gold those artefacts will earn me!” “Why would I fear the pain? A scar more or less means nothing to me. Great power always demands even greater sacrifices.” “They call me pretty, yet as soon as they feel the sting of my vines, they regret their words and run. Foolish city-dwellers and their easily broken skin.” “You’re either quite brave for stepping up to me, or incredibly stupid.” “You are playing a dangerous game, wanderer…” “If you look for easy prey, don’t try for a snarler. They are all bark and just as much bite.” “You feel a chill run down your back and dread settle in your stomach. They always told you nightmares weren’t real…” “Her haunting, desperate wails cut sharply through the eerie night.” “A good mage may wield flames as one would wield a sword, graceful and deadly.“ “They looked so delicate, dancing through the old ruins. All soft colors and shimmering lights. Once I got close enough, they vanished like smoke.” “They look tempting, but eating them might not have been your best idea yet.” “There will be no rest for the wicked. I shall purge the world of this filth.” -Old Engraving “Not the most durable, and they smell a bit weird, but at least they keep your feet warm and dry. Mostly.” “The magic is faint, yet the soft glow still warms your cold hand. The staff must have held great power long ago.” “Things like this were made with a purpose. A sinister one, more often than not.” “People stopped any attempts at mining around the mountain long ago, despite the plentiful ore and rare gems. Too many casualties.” “It was dark, cold, I could hear wolves howl in the distance. I was sure I’d die out there. And then, suddenly it began to glow, a steady light that guided me back. ““It looks too peaceful. I can’t help but wonder what lurks beneath the surface.”
